Oil Rocks near Baku (21 photos)
Oil Rocks is an urban village, in Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea, 42 kilometers east of Absheron peninsula. It is located on metal racks, built in 1949 in connection with the start of oil production from the Caspian sea.
Oil Rocks are surrounded by stone reefs, among which are banks, submarine and surface stones.
North and South harbors are located off the west coast of the island and were formed by sunken ships.
